Diana Byars Diana joined the Pacific Catch family when our location in Corte Madera opened in 2005. She currently supports the restaurant as a Supervisor and Lead Trainer. She shows pride in the job she does and is the "most requested" staff by our regular guests. She is a huge contributor in our drive to increase our in-house sustainability and environment-friendly policies. Diana began her career in hospitality at Chevy's in Larkspur, California and from there moved on to fine dining at Tutto Mare in Tiburon. Diana was motivated by Tutto Mare's presentation and preparation of fresh local seafood prepared in the Italian tradition. Here she focused on how to better improve her skills by observing the kitchen and ensuring her guests' had a successful experience. Diana has nearly two decades of hospitality experience in various restaurants of Marin County. Diana was born in the town of Kaneohe on the windward side of Oahu. At age four, her family of seven moved to the Mainland, however much of her family still resides in Hawaii. Her favorite, Grandma Sarah, keeps the Hawaiian family traditions alive by preparing savory Portuguese and Hawaiian style foods, while focusing on fresh fish. Her Grandma's traditions have helped establish Diana's own cooking style; always ensuring Diana felt at home. Diana lives in beautiful Marin County, with her amazing daughter, Kaia. She is proud to call herself a "local." She recently returned to school, finishing up her Bachelor's degree. She hopes to enter a profession in the Environmental field. She loves yoga, organic cooking, being a mom and keeping everything balanced. You can meet Diana most weekday lunches at Pacific Catch in Corte Madera! |
