Hubert Ramirez Hubert Ramirez was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and spent much of his youth two hours from the capital in Perez Zeledon City. A search for better opportunities brought him to United States, where he has now lived for ten years. Hubert started his culinary career in New Jersey as a food runner at the restaurant Jose Tejas. Six years later, after working his way up to expeditor, a visit to San Francisco and exposure to the city's restaurant culture lured him to the west coast. In 2005 Hubert started at the Pacific Catch on Chestnut Street as a prep cook. He quickly made his way up to Kitchen Supervisor, and after a month at our Corte Madera location Hubert's impressive talents and drive led him to the Sous Chef position at 9th and Lincoln. Hubert lives nearby in the Sunset and enjoys motocross, surfing, swimming and going to the movies. |
